I read somewhere a long time ago that what you are selling is only worth what someone else is willing to pay. Some people might only want to pay $50/hr for your video production services, while others will be perfectly happy paying $250/hr for the same service. Of course, the customer has to perceive that they are getting good value for their dollar.

Ideas for Boosting Video Business Profits Today
1. Find a way to add at least $200 to every proposal you write.

You can write it in as a couple more hours of editing or add it to your day rate for a shoot. It doesn't really matter how you do it, just do it. I don't think I've ever lost a project because of a difference of $200. The other thing to consider is that you shouldn't be so transparent in your proposals. I don't show how many hours its going to take me to edit a project anymore. I simply tell them that the edit fee is $X number of dollars. This makes it easy to build some profit in there...or A LOT of profit!
